Shillinq

Bookkeeping and invoicing in the same Nextcloud you already work in. Send the invoice, match the bank, file the VAT. No separate accounting package.

Shillinq is open-source business administration for freelancers, sole proprietors and small businesses. You send invoices, import bank statements, book receipts and file VAT from one place. Purchase orders, supplier invoices and contracts live next to your books. Every figure stays on your own server. Municipalities and water boards get their statutory reporting formats in the same app. Released under EUPL-1.2 and maintained by Conduction.
What it does

Invoices, bank, VAT, purchases, contracts. One set of books.

Shillinq is the administration a small business actually needs. Send invoices and chase the late ones. Match your bank statement. File VAT from what you already booked. Approve purchases before the money goes out.

Send the invoice, see who still owes you.

Create an invoice in a minute, with the numbering the tax office expects. Recurring work invoices itself every month. Open invoices sit on your dashboard by customer and by age. Reminders go out in steps you set once.

The bank statement matches itself.

Import the statement your bank exports. Shillinq matches each line to an open invoice or bill. You only look at the handful it could not place. Pay your suppliers in one batch and the payments book themselves back.

The VAT return is already done at quarter end.

Every invoice and receipt you booked carries its VAT rate. At quarter end the return is the sum, per box, ready to check and file. Small-business exemption and EU sales are covered too.

Purchases, supplier bills and contracts, under control.

A purchase order waits for approval above the limit you set. When the goods and the bill arrive, Shillinq checks all three agree. Contracts carry their end date and notice period, so a renewal never surprises you.

Four ways Shillinq earns its place

It works the way you work. And it works for you.

Four things you would normally pay extra for. In Shillinq they are built in.

Automate

An invoice is overdue. The reminder is already on the list.

Today: you scroll through open invoices on Friday and hope you spot the late ones. Instead, set it up once. The day an invoice passes its due date, a reminder task lands on the right desk. A supplier bill above your limit waits for your approval before it is booked. Sixty days before a contract ends, the renewal is on your agenda. Nothing forgotten, no chasing from memory, no coding.

How automation works
Make it yours

Your books, your way. Without an accountant on the phone.

A garage wants the licence plate on every invoice. A design studio wants the project code on every hour. A caterer looks at cash position first thing every morning. Add the field. Drag the widget you check first to the top. Hide the reports you never open. In the running app, in minutes, and your changes stay with every update.

How customising works
Talk to it

Ask your books a question. Get the answer, not a report.

Ask "which invoices are overdue?" and get the list with amounts and days late. Ask "what did we spend with this supplier this year?" and the number is there. Hand it a receipt and it prepares the booking for you to confirm. Reading is instant; anything that changes your books waits for your say-so.

Let clients help themselves

Clients see their invoices, sign their quotes, and pay.

Today: a client mails for a copy of an invoice, and someone digs through sent items. Give clients their own door instead with Portaliq: a portal in your house style where they see their invoices and quotes, sign the quotation online, and pay what is open. The signed quote and the payment land straight in your books. Fewer copy-of-the-invoice mails, and money that arrives sooner.

How Shillinq plugs into the workspace

Mail, files and your CRM. Already yours.

Your books live where your email, documents and sales already live. That is the point of a workspace.

A customer confirms the job by email. Open the message in Nextcloud Mail and click "New invoice from this email". The customer, the date and the message reference are filled in, the invoice opens as a draft, and the email stays linked to it. No copying names from one screen to another.
