What it is

Open WebUI as a Nextcloud app.

Open WebUI is a polished chat front-end for local LLM runtimes. We package it as a Nextcloud-installable sidecar. You install the app, the upstream container runs alongside Nextcloud, and users get a familiar chat experience tied to your own models. Same upstream, less DevOps. Conversations never leave the instance.

Why a sidecar

A sidecar is not a fork.

We do not fork Open WebUI. The sidecar tracks upstream releases. The wrapper handles install, lifecycle, and the koppelvlak to Nextcloud. Conversations and uploads stay on the instance. Conduction is responsible for the integration, not for upstream Open WebUI.

Run Open WebUI inside your Nextcloud.

Install from the Nextcloud app store. Pair with the Ollama sidecar for the model. SSO comes from the Keycloak sidecar. One workspace, no cloud round-trip.
